Η ομάδα STUDIO MATEJKA από το Wroclaw της Πολωνίας που τελεί υπό την αιγίδα του Ινστιτούτου Grotowski επιστρέφει στην Αθήνα και παρουσιάζει την παράσταση – solo performance – «ΧΑΡΜΟΛΥΠΗ» της Αλεξάνδρας Καζάζου ...
Η παράσταση πριν τις παραστάσεις στην Αθήνα συμμετείχε επίσημα στα Δημήτρια 2013 και παρουσιάζεται στο φεστιβάλ SOLO της Μόσχας το ίδιο διάστημα ... στην Αθήνα θα παρουσιαστεί σε 6 μόνο παραστάσεις (5 & 6, 12 & 13, 19 & 20 Οκτώβρη)

Η Χαρμολύπη είναι κατασκευασμένη από προσωπικές ιστορίες του performer ειπωμένες μέσω του σώματος. Όταν οι λέξεις αποτυγχάνουν, η «ιστορία» του σώματος γεννιέται.
Η ελληνική λέξη χαρμολύπη περιλαμβάνει τη δυαδικότητα στη ρίζα της ανθρώπινης εμπειρίας. Χαλαρά η μετάφραση θα ήταν σημαίνει «γλυκόπικρη» ή «θλίψη χαρούμενη». Σε ένα πιο γήινο επίπεδο, οι ηλικιωμένοι συχνά λέγεται ότι έχουν χαρμολύπη λόγω της συσσωρευμένης εμπειρίας τους.

Leader and founder of Studio Matejka.
Studied acting at the State Conservatory in Bratislava, Slovakia, later at JAMU University, Brno, Czech Republic. From 2001–2006, actor of Theatre studio Farm in the Cave, Prague and co-creator of the projects and performances Dark Love Sonnets, Journey to the Station and SCLAVI / The Song of an Emigrant, which received Total Theater Award, Fringe First Award and Herald Angel Award in 2006 Fringe Festival. Since 2005, collaborator of The Grotowski Institute, where he is engaged in research of physical expression in the theatre. Actor and leader of physical training in Teatr ZAR theatre company. Performs in Gospels of Childhood, Caesarean Section: Essays on Suicide and Anhelli: The Calling. Caesarean Section was winner of the Total Theatre Award and Fringe First Award in 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Leads his own work sessions “Wakening the Listening Body” at the Grotowski Institute, as well as with Teatr ZAR, both in Poland and internationally. In his work he searches for the performer’s "essence of communication" where both dance and drama are only vehicles for the actor's expression.
Alexandra Kazazou (GR/PL)
Born in Wrocław, Poland. She is half-Greek, half-Polish and studied acting in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She worked as an actor in the North National Theater and co-founded the team Asypka, a theatrical group based in Athens. She first encountered physical theatre in a workshop with Teatr Pieśń Kozła during her studies and in 2009 she went to Wrocław to enter the MA in Acting course with Piesn Kozla in collaboration with Manchester Metropolitan University. Currently, a member of Studio Matejka in The Grotowski Institute, member of the Odra Ensemble in collaboration with Teatr Pieśń Kozła and member of Jubilo Project in Wrocław. Her main interest of research is focused on the function of chorus in Greek tragedy and the connection with the daily chorus of life and ensemble work. A significant inspiration and life experience was her expedition to the Guantanamo Bay base in Cuba. She is a certified teacher of Ashtanga Yoga and also teaches Ancient Greek tragedy at the University of Wroclaw (ISKIO), Mediterranean Studies department.
